Pool Resurfacing

New plaster, quartz, pebble or glass-bead interiors that feel smooth underfoot and change the color of your water.

Rough spots, stains, etching and fading are the first signs an interior finish has reached the end of its life. Resurfacing removes the worn layer down to a sound base and applies a new finish, the single change that most transforms how a pool looks and feels.

We help you choose between plaster, quartz, pebble and polished glass-bead finishes with real samples at our Design Center or Mobile Showroom, then prep, apply and start up the new surface with our own crews.

What’s included

  • Drain, chip-out or hydro-blast of the old finish
  • Bond coat and crack repair where needed
  • Plaster, quartz, pebble or glass-bead application
  • New fittings, step markers and light niche trims
  • Fill, start-up chemistry and brushing routine

Signs it’s time

  • 01Rough surface that snags swimsuits or scrapes feet
  • 02Stains that return after acid washing
  • 03Etching, pitting, flaking or hollow-sounding spots
  • 04Faded, blotchy color that makes the water look dull

Your options

Choose what fits your pool.

  • Plaster

Classic white marcite. Bright aqua water and the most accessible price.

  • Quartz

Colored quartz blended into the plaster. Smooth, more stain-resistant and longer lasting.

  • Pebble

Exposed natural aggregate such as StoneScapes or PebbleTec. Textured and the most durable.

  • Glass bead

Polished aggregate with glass beads, such as JewelScapes. Smooth, with a shimmer in the sun.

Questions

Pool Resurfacing: FAQ

How long will a new finish last?

Plaster typically lasts 7–12 years. Quartz and pebble finishes typically last 10–20 years. Balanced water chemistry is the biggest factor in reaching the top of those ranges.

Can you resurface over my existing finish?

Only when the existing surface is sound and well bonded. In most aging pools we remove the old finish so the new one bonds to a solid base. We confirm it during the on-site assessment.

How soon can we swim?

The pool is filled right after the finish is applied. Swimming usually resumes after the start-up period once the water is balanced, and we walk you through the brushing and chemistry routine for the first weeks.
